Before you can pick the right buck boost transformer you must know you exact incoming voltage using a digital voltmeter.

Contact the company you purchased the tanning bed from to determine whether or not a buck booster is needed.
Tip before purchasing your tanning bed you will want to check to see whether or not it uses 120 volts or 220 volts it is probably a more affordable option for you to find a tanning bed that uses only 120 volts.
In a buck boost the neutral is not used and therefore not needed.

They come with a plug and socket so all you need to do is plug your tanning bed into the buck boost transformer then plug the transformer into your 220v 20a or 30a socket as required.
Next subtract the tanning bed voltage the v on the bed label from the high voltage.
Multiply this number by the kva and the result is the size of tanning bed buck booster you need.
Lastly take your grounding wire and attach that directly to the casing of the buckboost and to the grounding wire going to the unit.
While higher voltage results in more tanning power you must keep the voltage below 240v for proper operation of the tanning bed.
Buck boosters lower buck or raise boost voltage to compensate for these fluctuations.

If you are using this unit as an isolation transformer with a primary of 120 or 240 or 480 volts and the secondary of 12 24 16 32 or 24 48 depending on the model use the wiring diagram located on the inside of.
Take that number and divide it by the high voltage.
Just cap off the white wire.
